Aphrodite’s Rock is the birthplace of Aphrodite’s (the goddess of beauty and love) and is one of the most photographed rocks in the world… In Greek this site is known as ‘Petra tou Romiou’ and in Greek mythology it is said that Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam at this rock. Aphrodite’s rock is on the southwest coast close to Paphos.
