Wedding Bridal Tips

Here is some advise and bridal tips for your wedding in cyprus from Louise for you.

Keep a Wedding journal

Look through wedding magazines, browse the Internet, try to gather as many ideas as you can that fit the theme and style of the wedding you are wishing to achieve, place in a file or stick in a book and refer to them.

Send to your wedding planner ask for prices/quotes and they will let you know if achievable in Cyprus .A picture of a bouquet, your florist will be able to copy exactly or give advice on  similar flowers if that one is not available

Write any questions that pop into head (even in the middle of the night) in your book so you can remember them as your head will become full and you will forget things that are important to you.

A goddess tan

You will want that beautiful tan/healthy glow to compliment your wedding dress, but nothing looks worse on your photographs than strap marks, red noses and peeling shoulders buy bikinis that are strapless and bandeau tops. This includes your bridesmaids too.

Wear a high factor sun cream and build your tan up gradually.

Apply sun cream at least 30minutes before your wedding ceremony ,this means the cream is absorbed fully in to your skin and won’t rub onto your dress, remember you will be in the sun for your Photographs.

Hen and Stag do’s

Defiantly not the night before your wedding day .too much alcohol, too much sun and too little sleep equals a bad combination. All the months of preparations can be ruined if you are both nursing a hangover and feel too tired to party. Not to mention your guests all feeling equally unwell. The night before your wedding you should be relaxing, getting a good night sleep and looking forward to your wedding day.

Don’t change who you are

Everyone wants to look their best on their wedding day, but a dramatic hair cut or complete colour change might not always be the answer, instead enhance who you are!

Have  a hair cut to rid any split ends,  start intensively  conditioning your hair at least a month before your wedding with weekly treatments to ensure your hair looks the best it possibly can on your big day .

Waxing or shaving just before you apply any tanning products can make your tan patchy so de-fuzz at least 24hrs beforehand.

Eat healthy and drink lots of water to hydrate your skin.

Shoes

Shoes are important for a bride, you see them, love them, try them on in the shop for 3 minutes, buy them, and then put them away wrapped in tissue in a box until your wedding day.

Remember a heel is elegant and makes you walk tall but don’t buy skyscrapers, most hotels have long walks to venues and possibly uneven paths, shiny marble floors and you can’t see where you putting your feet because you have a long dress.

You also have to hold your dads arm, your floral bouquet, stay poised, and smile, so the last thing you need to also be worried about is falling over and twisting your ankle.

Wear the wedding shoes you choose around the house before your wedding day, this way you have worn them in a little, (no blisters)

Buy some flats or jeweled flip flops for after your wedding ceremony and after all the photographs have been taken then you can slip them on if your feet became uncomfortable.

Set a Budget

Decide on a wedding budget and consider opening a separate wedding savings account .set aside 5 % for unexpected extras .have fun sticking to your budget and finding a bargain.

Don’t stress

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to achieve absolute perfection, your guests are there to share your special day and enjoy themselves they won’t be scrutinizing the shade of ribbon tied around your favors. Remember the most important thing is you are declaring your love to one another.
